Serving researchers in Nova Scotia
Research Compounds for Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia's research profile is heavily coastal, with ocean and marine science shaping much of the province's applied work. Almost everything routes through the Halifax area before it goes anywhere else. We supply the province for laboratory research use only.

Browse the catalogueSalt air, damp and where you keep a vial
Coastal buildings hold moisture, and a bench near an open window in a shoreline building is not the best place for sealed lyophilised material. Keep vials in the storage condition on the label, in a closed container, away from direct light. Salt air will not reach the contents of a sealed vial, but it is hard on labels and on anything left out of its packaging.
Halifax first, then everywhere else
Halifax and Dartmouth take the bulk of Nova Scotia orders. Truro, New Glasgow, Sydney and the South Shore follow, and Cape Breton addresses add a longer final leg. Nothing about the province is far by national standards, so the difference between a Halifax address and a rural one is usually a day rather than a week.
What a purity number would mean, and why none appears
A purity number quoted by any supplier describes how much of the material in the vial is the named compound, measured by one method on one batch. It describes nothing else, and it is not a claim about what the compound does. A figure offered without a named method and a batch reference beside it is not worth much. None is quoted here, for any item, because no such measurement has been made.
Atlantic Time
Nova Scotia keeps Atlantic Time, an hour ahead of Eastern. Our daily order cycle does not shift by province, so the practical effect is that the Atlantic working day is further along when a batch is processed. Earlier messages get read sooner.

Nova Scotia questions
Is there any documentation for a specific batch?+
No. Batch-level paperwork is not produced or held here, so there is none to request for any item. Anything your own records need about a specific vial has to be established at your bench and written down there.
Do Cape Breton addresses take longer?+
Marginally. The window is 10 to 15 days across the province and the extra distance falls inside it.
Are prices in CAD?+
Yes. Every .ca storefront shows Canadian dollars.
